Date: Nov 23 2004 From: DVB - Democratic Voice of BurmaDaw Aung San Suu Kyi visited by her family doctor On 22 November, there were reports of a military vehicle belonging to Burmese army officers travelled to and from Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s home in Rangoon, prompting speculation that she might be released soon. But NLD spokesman U Lwin told DVB that a car did enter the compound of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on the day but he said that she was not visited by army officers but her family doctor Dr Tin Myo Win and a dentist who came to see her on her request as she had a toothache. Meanwhile, National League for Democracy (NLD) members in Rangoon are continuing with their weekly prayer meeting at the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, offering prayer and religious items with the intention of her release. They believe that due to their prayer some political prisoners were released by the country’s military junta recently and more members had joined them at their 21st séance at the pagoda.
